Puppy Kindergarten (2-5 months) Tuesdays 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Since the basis of all canine learning is early
socialization, we offer a Kindergarten course of eight one-hour classes
designed for the young puppy. Each class begins with a play period, followed by
instruction in the basic commands sit, down, stand, stay and come when called.
Is my puppy too young? Early, positive training
in a class atmosphere can help prevent behavioral problems before they begin.
Dogs aged 2-5 months are eligible for Puppy Kindergarten. Proof of vaccination
is required.
What about house-soiling, chewing, nipping and
jumping up on people? By attaining control over your puppy and with the
support of your instructors, you will be able to control these common
problems.
Hand-out sheets are available to help you.
Basic Obedience Tuesdays 6:30 - 7:30
or 8:30 - 9:30 p.m.
This course of eight one-hour classes is designed for
dogs aged 5 months and older. You will attain happy, overall control through
the instruction of the basic exercises heel, sit, stand, down, stay and come
when called. Unruly dogs learn self-discipline and shy dogs gain
confidence.
Can you teach an old dog new tricks? Our methods
have proven highly successful with dogs of all ages.
Advanced Basic Obedience Thursdays
7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
For graduates of Basic Obedience, we offer further
control through advanced training with eight one-hour classes. We expand on the
basic exercises adding off-leash heeling, stays and recall. Graduates are then
eligible to join the Club and further their training for fun and/or
competition.
